According to official police reports, the incident unfolded around 3 PM when the children, identified as Bhumika Gond (5), and sisters Sandhya (6) and Sanjita Gond (5), went to the village pond to wash clothes. Balsai Gond, the father of Bhumika, recounted the painful details, explaining how the girls found themselves in perilous waters. The community remained unaware of the unfolding disaster until some local boys made a chilling discovery.
