Burhanul Mukaddim, commonly known as Liton, representing the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), has emerged victorious in the Baduria constituency of West Bengal. He secured a total of 1,03,334 votes, defeating his nearest rival Sukriti Kumar Sarkar from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who managed 63,273 votes. The winning margin stands at a substantial 40,061 votes.

Baduria is a predominantly rural, general category constituency located in the North 24 Parganas district. It lies close to the Bangladesh border and has a significant Muslim population. In the 2021 state assembly elections, TMC's Abdur Rahim Quazi won the seat with an impressive 1,09,701 votes, defeating BJP's Sukalyan Baidya by a commanding margin of 56,444 votes.
