CHENNAI: TVK president C Joseph Vijay was sworn in as chief minister of Tamil Nadu by Governor R V Arlekar on Sunday morning. The ceremony took place at Nehru Stadium, where nine of his party colleagues also took the oath of office as ministers.

The ministers who were sworn in include N Anand, Aadhav Arjuna, K G Arunraj, K A Sengottaiyan, P Venkatramanan, C T R Nirmal Kumar, Rajmohan, T K Prabhu, and S Keerthana. The event marked a significant political shift in the state.

Congress leader of the opposition Rahul Gandhi was present on the stage during the ceremony. While leaders from DMK and AIADMK were absent, TNCC president K Selvapeunthagai attended the event.
