According to preliminary reports from local authorities, the victims were traveling at a high speed towards Koderma when the motorcycle went out of control. This loss of control happened precisely as the bike transitioned from a four-lane highway section to a double-lane stretch, causing it to collide forcefully with the temple wall.
Both individuals succumbed to their injuries on the spot, with no opportunity for local residents to provide assistance before their deaths. The swift and severe impact left no chance for survival, highlighting the dangers of high-speed travel on such roadways.
Police Identification and Response to the Incident
Police officials have identified the deceased as Mohd Mazhar Ansari, aged 35, a resident of Hazaribagh district in Jharkhand, and Shahnaz Khatoon, aged 29, the wife of Naushad Khan and a resident of Nawada district. It was revealed that the two were distant relatives, adding a layer of personal tragedy to the accident.
Rajauli Station House Officer Ranjit Kumar provided crucial insights into the crash. "The motorcycle bore a Jharkhand registration number, and the accident occurred immediately after it entered the double-lane section from the highway," he stated. "Both victims died before local people could offer any help, underscoring the severity of the collision."
Upon being alerted by local residents, emergency services were promptly activated. The police and the Dial 112 emergency service were informed, leading to a rapid response. Assistant Sub-Inspector K K Jha, along with the Dial 112 team, reached the accident site soon after receiving the information to manage the situation and conduct further investigations.
