Tragic Drowning Incident Claims Lives of Two Minor Girls in Giridih Village
A heartbreaking incident unfolded in the Giridih district of Jharkhand on Friday, resulting in the tragic deaths of two minor girls. The girls drowned in a well located in Lalokoni village, sending shockwaves through the local community.

According to Zila Parishad member Anup Kumar Pandey, villagers immediately sprang into action upon discovering the girls in the well. They made frantic and desperate attempts to rescue the children, managing to pull them out of the water. However, despite their swift efforts, it was too late—both girls were already deceased by the time they were retrieved.
Victims Identified as Nagma Khatun and Sahin Praveen
The deceased have been officially identified as Nagma Khatun and Sahin Praveen. The exact circumstances leading to their presence at the well remain unclear at this stage. Authorities have not yet determined how the children reached the well or the precise manner in which they fell into it, leaving many questions unanswered for their grieving families.

Officer in-charge of the Sariya police station, Pinku Kumar, has confirmed that a thorough investigation is currently underway.
