KRISHNAGIRI: In a tragic incident, two youths were burnt to death in separate incidents near Krishnagiri. The charred bodies of two males were discovered on the roadside in the Veppalampattiy and Kodukur areas along the road leading to Rayakottai, adjacent to Krishnagiri.

Shock in the Locality

The local residents were horrified to see the burnt bodies and promptly alerted the Krishnagiri taluk police. The police immediately swung into action.

Senior Officials Conduct Probe

The Krishnagiri District Superintendent of Police, P. Thangadurai, personally visited the crime scene to oversee the investigation. Inspectors from multiple police stations, including Krishnagiri, Krishnagiri Taluk, Rayakottai, Denkanikottai, Guruparapalli, Veppanahalli, and Maharaja Kadai, rushed to the spot upon receiving the information. They recovered the charred bodies and sent them to the Krishnagiri Government Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.

Investigation Intensifies

Police have launched an active investigation to establish the identities of the deceased. A sniffer dog was deployed at the location where the bodies were found, and a search operation is underway. The Superintendent of Police confirmed, "A special team of eight inspectors has been formed to investigate the deaths of the youths." An intensive investigation has been initiated.
