UP BJP Chief Commemorates Foundation Day as Sacred Ideological Journey
Uttar Pradesh BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary declared that the party's foundation day on Monday represented far more than the birth of a political entity. He characterized it as a profoundly sacred occasion marking the commencement of an ideological journey fundamentally inspired by the "nation first" spirit.
A Journey Born from Patriotic Resolve
Addressing dedicated party workers at the state office, Chaudhary reflected on the BJP's origins. He emphasized that the party emerged through the collective and unwavering resolve of millions of patriots during a critical historical juncture. This was a period when India was actively recovering from the deep anguish inflicted by the Emergency, severe attacks on democratic institutions, and a pervasive atmosphere of national despair.
"This journey began with limited resources but was fueled by boundless determination and absolute dedication," Chaudhary stated. He highlighted that this steadfast commitment has ultimately established the Bharatiya Janata Party as the world's largest political organization.
Four Decades of Struggle and Collective Achievement
Chaudhary elaborated that the BJP's journey, spanning over four transformative decades, has been defined by immense struggle, penance, sacrifice, and martyrdom. He was quick to clarify that this monumental success is not attributable to any single individual or centralized office.
"This historic achievement is solely the result of the tireless hard work, unwavering loyalty, and deep-seated patriotism of millions of our dedicated grassroots workers," he asserted, paying tribute to the party's vast volunteer base.
PM Modi's Leadership and Foundational Mantra
The UP BJP chief credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the task of elevating this enduring journey to unprecedented new heights. Under Modi's leadership, Chaudhary noted, the guiding mantra of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas" has been seamlessly integrated into the very foundation of both national policy and governmental intent.
He cited several landmark achievements as proof of the BJP's consistency between its promises and actions. These include the historic abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the construction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, strategic amendments to the Waqf Act, and welfare initiatives guided by the core resolve of `Antyodaya` or upliftment of the last person.
Transforming Uttar Pradesh from a "State of Questions"
Making a specific and pointed reference to Uttar Pradesh, Chaudhary recalled a darker era for the state. "There was a regrettable time when Uttar Pradesh was tragically reduced to a 'State of Questions'," he remarked.
He painted a vivid picture of that period, where pressing questions abounded in every sphere of public life, yet concrete answers and solutions were conspicuously absent. The state grappled with severe crises:
- Collapsing law and order and concerns over the safety and security of women and girls.
- Chronic unemployment among the youth and a lack of job opportunities.
- Deficient infrastructure, including poor road networks and unreliable electricity supply.
- A near-total absence of basic public amenities and welfare-oriented development.
- Rampant corruption, entrenched nepotism, and the divisive politics of appeasement.
In an apparent critique of previous opposition-led governments, Chaudhary stated that for a prolonged and painful period, Uttar Pradesh fell victim to widespread anarchy, the dominance of a 'Mafia Raj', destructive appeasement politics, and comprehensive administrative failures.
A Robust Organizational Structure Built on Ideology
Echoing this sentiment, State General Secretary (Organisation) Dharampal Singh addressed the gathering. He attributed the BJP's current robust and expansive organizational structure directly to the ceaseless hard work of its workers. This effort, he emphasized, is perpetually driven by a firm ideological commitment, relentless dedication, and an authentic spirit of national service.
The foundation day event served as both a celebration of past struggles and a reaffirmation of the party's ongoing mission, crediting collective effort and ideological purity for its growth and the perceived transformation of Uttar Pradesh's fortunes.
