UP Gets 98 Lakh Suggestions for Viksit UP 2047 Vision

The Uttar Pradesh government has achieved a remarkable milestone in its public consultation process, receiving nearly 98 lakh suggestions from citizens for the ambitious Viksit Uttar Pradesh-2047 Vision Document. This massive public participation underscores the widespread interest in shaping the state's future development roadmap.

Vision Conclave to Shape Uttar Pradesh's Future

To further advance this initiative, ETGovernment-The Economic Times is organizing the fourth edition of the Vision Conclave in Lucknow this Friday. The event, themed "Viksit Bharat, Viksit Uttar Pradesh 2047," will bring together key stakeholders to discuss policy priorities, economic planning, and governance reforms that will drive the state's transformation over the next two decades.

The conclave will witness participation from senior government officials, policy experts, technologists, academics, and industry representatives who will deliberate on the state's Vision 2047 framework. The discussions are strategically organized around three core themes that form the foundation of Uttar Pradesh's growth strategy.

Three Pillars of Development: Arth, Srijan, and Jeevan Shakti

The comprehensive development framework is built around three powerful concepts that will drive Uttar Pradesh's transformation. Arth Shakti focuses on inclusive economic growth through sessions examining governance reforms, digital public infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.

The Srijan Shakti theme addresses critical infrastructure development areas including urban planning, housing, infrastructure modernization, transport systems, energy transition, water management, and industrial growth. This pillar recognizes that robust infrastructure is essential for sustainable economic expansion.

Jeevan Shakti concentrates on human development outcomes, covering education reforms, skill development, sports promotion, MSME growth, healthcare systems enhancement, rural development, and climate-resilient agriculture practices.

Road to $1 Trillion Economy

Uttar Pradesh has set an ambitious target of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2029-30 and aims to contribute approximately one-sixth of India's projected national economy by 2047. To achieve this monumental goal, the state government has identified 12 priority sectors that will receive focused attention and strategic investment.

The inaugural session, titled "UP as Catalyst for Viksit Bharat – Vision 2047," will feature prominent leaders including Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak; Manoj Kumar Singh, CEO of the State Transformation Commission; and Akhil Kumar, MD and CEO of Digital India Corporation, MeitY. This session will outline the state's developmental priorities and emphasize the crucial role of inter-departmental coordination in achieving long-term objectives.

The conclave will conclude with a significant session on "Skill Development & Employability: Industry–Academia Convergence," featuring Awanish Awasthi, advisor to UP CM, and Kapil Dev Aggarwal, minister of state for vocational education & skill development. This highlights the government's commitment to creating employment opportunities and bridging the gap between education and industry requirements.

With the Vision Document expected to be finalized in the coming weeks, the massive public response of 98 lakh suggestions demonstrates the people's active engagement in shaping Uttar Pradesh's journey toward becoming a developed state by 2047, contributing significantly to India's overall growth story.
