UP Police Inducts 491 Women Constables in Varanasi

A grand passing-out parade was held at the Police Lines ground in Varanasi on Sunday, formally inducting 491 women as constables into the Uttar Pradesh Police after they completed their training under the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Process-2025.

Commissioner of Police Mohit Agarwal took the salute of 18 squads comprising the 491 women constables from the dais and inspected the parade, which was conducted under the command of Parade Commander Constable Renu. The contingents presented an impressive march-past, showcasing discipline, coordination, uniformity, and physical proficiency. Following the march-past, an oath was administered to all trainee constables, pledging dedication to duty, honesty, impartiality, and public service.

Addressing the ceremony, the Commissioner of Police emphasized that the police uniform is not merely a means of employment but a symbol of service, responsibility, and trust towards society and the nation. He urged the newly inducted constables to perform their duties with sensitivity, dedication, and unwavering commitment.

The event witnessed the presence of family members of the trainees in large numbers, many of whom expressed pride in seeing their daughters in uniform. On the occasion, outstanding trainees were felicitated. Roshni Gupta was adjudged the Best All-Round trainee, while Renu received the award for Best in Outdoor Subjects.

Similar passing-out parades were also held at Police Lines grounds in Ghazipur, Ballia, Mau, Sonbhadra, and other districts of the zone.
