UP's First Forestry University to Guarantee Youth Employment, Says CM Yogi Adityanath

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared on Saturday that degrees from Uttar Pradesh's inaugural forestry and horticulture university, planned for Campierganj, will secure employment opportunities for youth both within India and internationally. Speaking at the inauguration of the reconstructed Block Development Officer (BDO) office in Jungle Kaudiya block, the CM emphasized that this institution will not only open new career paths but also play a pivotal role in boosting farmers' incomes through advanced agricultural practices.

Vulture Conservation and Cultural Significance Highlighted

During his address, Yogi Adityanath referenced the vulture conservation center established in Campierganj, drawing connections to the cultural and mythological importance of Jatayu from the Ramayan. He pointed out that the rampant use of chemicals and pesticides has caused a severe decline in vulture populations, underscoring the urgency of conservation initiatives to protect these vital species.

Gorakhpur's Transformation Since 2017

The Chief Minister detailed the significant developmental strides made in Gorakhpur and across Uttar Pradesh since 2017. He listed key achievements:

  • The fertilizer factory in Gorakhpur has recommenced operations.
  • AIIMS is now fully functional, providing critical healthcare services.
  • BRD Medical College has evolved into a premier medical center.
  • The sugar mill in Pipraich has resumed production.
  • A compressed biogas plant has been installed in Dhuriyapar.
  • Industries within the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) are thriving.

Yogi Adityanath affirmed that numerous large-scale development projects are actively progressing throughout Gorakhpur and the state, signaling a robust economic and infrastructural uplift.

Personal Commitment to Jungle Kaudiya Block

Reflecting on his deep ties to the Jungle Kaudiya block, the CM recounted visiting every village to understand local challenges and work towards solutions. He shared anecdotes of personally wading through floodwaters to assist residents, ensuring that issues were addressed promptly from Lucknow once identified.

Infrastructure and Welfare Advancements

Yogi Adityanath highlighted the remarkable development in Jungle Kaudiya block and Campierganj Assembly constituency, noting:

  1. The Kalesar-Jungle Kaudiya bypass now enables direct travel to Lucknow in just three to three-and-a-half hours.
  2. Travel time from Chiutaha to Kushinagar has been slashed to a mere half-hour.
  3. All major roads in the region have been upgraded to four-lane configurations.
  4. Permanent flood mitigation measures are being implemented to prevent future disasters.

Additionally, a degree college established in memory of Brahmaleen Mahant Avedyanath Maharaj in Jungle Kaudiya now educates over 2,000 students. A newly built stadium offers training and practice facilities for local wrestlers, fostering sports development.

Welfare Schemes Reaching Every Beneficiary

The Chief Minister assured that alongside infrastructural growth, welfare programs for the underprivileged—including housing, toilets, ration distribution, Ayushman Bharat health coverage, and pensions—have been extended to all eligible individuals, ensuring comprehensive social support across the community.
