Uttarakhand Governor's Helicopter Makes Precautionary Emergency Landing in Pauri Garhwal
A helicopter transporting Uttarakhand Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (retired) executed a precautionary emergency landing in Srinagar town, located within the Pauri Garhwal district, on Sunday. The incident occurred after the aircraft reported a technical snag during its flight, prompting immediate safety measures.

According to police and administrative sources, the Uttarakhand government-operated helicopter developed an issue mid-air. The pilot, receiving alerts indicating a potential fault in one of the helicopter's systems, acted swiftly to prevent any risk. The aircraft was diverted to the GVK Helipad as the nearest designated landing site, where it landed safely without any incident or injuries.
Governor Singh was returning from the concluding event of the Tehri Lake Festival at the time. Following the landing, local administration and security personnel promptly reached the helipad. Adhering to standard security protocols, the governor was escorted to the police guest house for a temporary stay, ensuring his safety and comfort.

Officials have confirmed that a team of technical experts has been tasked with inspecting the helicopter to determine the exact cause of the problem.
