Vijayendra criticizes Congress's appeasement politics in Karnataka
Vijayendra slams Congress's appeasement politics

Karnataka BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra launched a scathing attack on the ruling Congress party, accusing it of engaging in appeasement politics. Speaking at a press conference in Bengaluru, Vijayendra alleged that the Congress government, led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, was prioritizing minority communities at the expense of other sections of society.

Allegations of Neglect

Vijayendra pointed to recent policy decisions, including the allocation of funds for minority welfare and the proposed reservation for Muslims in government contracts, as evidence of what he called a 'divisive agenda.' He claimed that such moves were designed to secure vote banks rather than promote inclusive development.

'The Congress is playing with the sentiments of the majority community,' Vijayendra said. 'Their appeasement politics will only lead to social discord and hinder the state's progress.'

Congress Rebuttal

In response, Congress spokesperson Ramesh Babu dismissed the allegations, stating that the BJP was threatened by the Congress's commitment to social justice. 'Our policies are aimed at uplifting all backward communities, not just minorities,' Babu said. 'The BJP's claims are baseless and stem from their frustration at losing power.'

The war of words comes ahead of the upcoming by-elections in Karnataka, where both parties are intensifying their campaigns. Political analysts suggest that the BJP is attempting to consolidate the Hindu vote base, while the Congress is focusing on its welfare schemes to retain support among Dalits, Adivasis, and minorities.

Vijayendra also criticized the Congress for failing to address issues such as unemployment, inflation, and farmer distress. He called on the government to focus on development rather than divisive politics.
