Sengottaiyan provided detailed accounts of what he described as deliberate obstruction. "Permission for the Perambur rally was abruptly withdrawn without explanation," he stated. "Pits were dug around the venue to prevent us from conducting the event, and barricades were strategically put up to create additional barriers." He further emphasized the disparity in treatment, noting that "other political party leaders are receiving full cooperation from the administration, while every single venue we identify for our events is being systematically denied."
Campaign Schedule and Candidate Announcements
Later on Saturday evening, the Perambur returning officer officially granted permission for Vijay's rally to proceed on 60 Feet Road on Monday. According to a senior TVK functionary, Vijay's campaign itinerary includes:
- Filing nomination at the Returning Officer office in Ambedkar College
- Campaigning at 60 Feet Road in Perambur
- Subsequent events at Moolakadai, Anna Nagar, and Villivakkam
Additionally, the party has secured approval to hold its candidates' introduction event in the city on Sunday.
