Woman Found Dead in Nallamala Forest, Second Suicide Case in Andhra Pradesh
In a tragic incident, a 21-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide inside the Nallamala forests near Mahanandi village in Nandyal district of Andhra Pradesh. The deceased has been identified as Swapna, a resident of Eswar Nagar colony in Mahanandi. Shepherds passing through the area discovered her body and immediately alerted the local police authorities.
Police Investigation Underway
Upon reaching the scene, police officers gathered crucial evidence and clues from the forest location. The body was subsequently shifted for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Family members and relatives of Swapna were overwhelmed with grief and were inconsolable upon seeing her lifeless body. The Mahanandi police have registered a formal case and are actively investigating the circumstances and potential reasons that may have led Swapna to take such a drastic step.
Separate Suicide Case in Anantapur District
Meanwhile, in another distressing event, a 23-year-old man died by suicide at Uddehal village in Bommanahal mandal of Anantapur district on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Tirumalesh. Bommanahal Sub-Inspector Nabi Rasool and his team responded to the incident, shifting the body for postmortem and registering a case to probe the matter further. This incident highlights a concerning pattern of youth suicides in the region, raising urgent questions about mental health support and societal pressures.
The back-to-back cases have sparked discussions among local communities and authorities regarding the need for enhanced mental health awareness and intervention programs. Police in both districts are continuing their investigations to uncover any underlying factors contributing to these tragic losses.
