A young woman patwari, who was seriously injured after a fall from the balcony of her government accommodation in Bhopal, has died. The tragic incident occurred in the Kotra Sultanabad area of Kamla Nagar, with the victim succumbing to her injuries at a private hospital on Sunday evening.

According to police reports, the accident took place on the morning of December 11. The victim, Meenakshi Singh Chouhan, aged 32, was on the balcony of her government quarter with her young daughter. In a moment of playful interaction, a gas-filled balloon she was holding slipped from her hand. While attempting to catch the balloon, Meenakshi lost her balance, leading to the fatal fall from the balcony.
Victim's Background and Immediate Aftermath
Meenakshi Singh Chouhan was originally a resident of Jabalpur and was posted as a patwari in the Goharganj tehsil of Raisen district. She was in Bhopal on a holiday visit when the accident occurred. Her husband, Ratnesh Singh, is a resident of Kotra Sultanabad. Police added that Ratnesh Singh's father is currently posted as an inspector at the Police Headquarters.
Following the fall, her family members rushed her to a private hospital for urgent medical treatment. Despite receiving care, her injuries proved too severe, and she passed away on Sunday evening.
