In a significant move aimed at enhancing public service delivery, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a strict directive to senior police officials across the state. He has instructed them to personally monitor the process of grievance redressal in their respective districts to ensure swift and transparent resolution of public complaints.
Directive Issued During Janata Darshan
The Chief Minister issued these orders during the 'Janata Darshan' held at his official residence in Lucknow on Monday. This public interface program is a regular feature where the CM directly listens to the problems of common citizens. During this session, CM Yogi Adityanath personally interacted with 42 individuals, patiently listening to their grievances and assuring them of prompt action.
A wide range of issues were brought before the Chief Minister. Several cases pertained to land disputes, revenue matters, and various police-related issues. Taking serious note of the complaints, the CM emphasized the need for fairness and transparency in all police dealings.
Focus on Local-Level Resolution
Yogi Adityanath directed the senior police officers posted in districts to place special emphasis on resolving grievances at the local level itself. He stated that this hands-on approach by top officials would build public trust and improve administrative efficiency.
According to a government spokesperson, the CM's instructions were clear and targeted. He directed Police Commissioners, Additional Directors General (ADGs), Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs), and Superintendents of Police (SPs) to not only monitor public grievances closely but also to prioritize their resolution. The directive mandates a proactive stance from the police leadership in addressing citizen concerns.
Assurance on Financial Assistance Requests
The Janata Darshan also saw two attendees seeking additional financial assistance from the government for medical treatment. Responding with empathy, Chief Minister Adityanath assured both individuals that they would receive the necessary help soon.
An official added that the CM asked for detailed cost estimates from the respective hospitals to be submitted to the government. Upon receipt of these estimates, funds will be released promptly to aid the petitioners, underscoring the government's commitment to public welfare.
