CM Yogi Adityanath Directs Vigilance for Festivals, Police Exam in Uttar Pradesh

In Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday underscored a strict zero-tolerance policy against any anti-social or anti-national activities. He issued directives to officials to maintain high levels of vigilance and coordination in anticipation of the upcoming festivals and the Uttar Pradesh Police recruitment examination.

Sensitive Period for Law and Order

Adityanath highlighted that the period is extremely sensitive from a law-and-order perspective, considering several key events. These include the 'alvida namaz' on March 13, the UP police exam scheduled for March 14-15, Chaitra Navratri starting from March 19, and Eid-ul-Fitr likely on March 20-21.

"All officials must discharge their responsibilities with full alertness and ensure that all events are conducted in a harmonious environment," stated the Chief Minister.

He emphasized that new traditions will not be permitted and that religious events should not cause any inconvenience to the public.

Special Instructions for Police Recruitment Exam

Issuing specific guidelines regarding the Sub-Inspector recruitment examination, Adityanath noted that it will be conducted in four shifts on March 14 and 15. The exam will take place at 1,090 centres across the state, with over 1.575 million candidates registered.

"Considering that a large number of candidates will travel from other districts, effective traffic management must be ensured so that no disorder occurs anywhere," he directed.

He added that there can be no compromise with the sanctity and confidentiality of the examination. Sector magistrates and static magistrates must remain deployed with full responsibility, while the intelligence system should stay fully active and vigilant.

A mock rehearsal of arrangements should be conducted in all districts before the examination. Continuous monitoring of social media must also be ensured to immediately counter any rumours or misleading information.

Adityanath directed that PRV-112 vehicles must be deployed outside every examination centre. District administrations should coordinate with the recruitment board to ensure the examination is conducted in a fair and peaceful manner.

Preparations for Chaitra Navratri and Other Festivals

Reviewing preparations for Chaitra Navratri, the Chief Minister stated, "A large number of devotees are expected at major 'Shakti Peeths', including Devi Patan Temple in Balrampur, Shakumbhari Devi in Saharanpur, Maa Vindhyavasini Dham in Mirzapur, and Lalita Devi in Sitapur."

He also mentioned that a significant influx of devotees from across the country is anticipated in Ayodhya on March 27 for Ram Navami.

Adequate arrangements must be ensured for devotees' security, smooth darshan, drinking water, cleanliness, and crowd management.

Yogi Adityanath directed that special cleanliness drives be carried out around temples and religious places in cities and villages during Navratri. Additional sanitation workers should be deployed where required.

"Police should implement effective crowd management and foot patrolling plans according to local conditions," he added.

Review of District Preparedness and Presidential Visit

The Chief Minister reviewed preparedness with the District Magistrates and police chiefs of Mirzapur, Balrampur, Sitapur, Ayodhya, Mathura, and Saharanpur. He noted that President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Ayodhya and Mathura on March 19.

He directed that all necessary protocol arrangements be ensured in advance for the presidential visit.

Ensuring Fuel Availability and Preventing Crises

CM Yogi also reviewed the availability of petrol and diesel in light of recent global developments. Officials informed him that there is no shortage of petrol and diesel anywhere in the state, and supply and distribution remain normal.

He directed officials of the food and civil supplies department to ensure that the public does not face any inconvenience and that no panic or artificial crisis arises anywhere.
