CM Yogi Urges BJP Cadres for 100% Voter List Accuracy in Gorakhpur
Yogi Directs BJP Workers for Intensive Electoral Roll Revision

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a clarion call to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) councillors and grassroots workers, demanding their "100% contribution" in a crucial drive to revise the state's electoral rolls. The directive came during a review meeting held in Gorakhpur on Wednesday.

Focus on Accurate and Clean Voter List

Addressing party cadres at the Annexe Hall in Gorakhpur, the Chief Minister underscored the paramount importance of preparing an "accurate and clean" voter list. He stressed that the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll must be executed meticulously, ensuring that no eligible voter is left out of the democratic process. CM Yogi positioned this task as a fundamental responsibility for all party members.

Grassroots Strategy: Camps and Door-to-Door Visits

To operationalize this mission, the Chief Minister laid out a detailed, booth-centric action plan. He instructed BJP workers to set up assistance camps at every polling booth from December 5 to December 10. The primary function of these camps will be to help citizens file SIR forms and submit necessary enumeration sheets.

Furthermore, CM Yogi mandated that party workers must actively accompany Booth Level Officers (BLOs) during their door-to-door verification visits. Their role will be to assist residents in correctly filling out all required SIR documentation.

Formation of Booth Teams and Women's Participation

To ensure a structured approach, the CM directed that each polling booth must constitute a dedicated 10-member team. This team is to include the booth president, the Booth Level Agent (BLA), other officials from the booth committee, and senior party workers.

Placing special emphasis on gender inclusivity in the electoral process, Yogi Adityanath called for the deployment of dedicated BJP women workers. These workers will specifically assist female voters in navigating the form-filling process, aiming to bolster the inclusion of women in the final voter list.

The Chief Minister's comprehensive review and explicit instructions highlight the BJP's organizational focus on strengthening the foundational elements of the electoral system ahead of future democratic exercises. The success of the Special Intensive Revision is seen as critical for ensuring a fair and representative election process in Uttar Pradesh.
