CM Yogi Adityanath Warns of Potential Industrial Unrest in Uttar Pradesh

Days after labeling protests by industrial workers in Noida as a conspiracy to undermine the state's industrial progress, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a fresh warning. During a late-night meeting on Wednesday to review law and order, the CM expressed apprehensions that similar attempts to create industrial unrest might be made again between April 30 and May 2.

Zero Tolerance for Industrial Disruption

"Industrial unrest in the state will not be acceptable under any circumstances," Adityanath declared emphatically. He assured that such malicious attempts would be firmly foiled by the administration. This statement comes amid ongoing concerns about labor protests affecting Uttar Pradesh's ambitious industrial development plans.

Enhanced Security for Home Guard Recruitment Examination

Turning to administrative matters, the Chief Minister conducted a thorough assessment of arrangements for the Home Guard Recruitment Examination, scheduled from April 25 to 27. This marks the first time the exam is being conducted through the Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, necessitating special vigilance.

Adityanath issued several critical directives:

  • Newly posted District Magistrates must ensure proper coordination with divisional commissioners and police officials
  • No compromise will be tolerated regarding examination integrity and confidentiality
  • Strictest action mandated against anyone attempting to breach examination fairness
  • Continuous monitoring of social media with immediate action against rumor-mongers

The CM also ordered comprehensive arrangements at all examination centers, including:

  1. Availability of cold drinking water
  2. Emergency medical facilities
  3. Efficient traffic management considering large numbers of examinees

Addressing Caste Tensions and Heatwave Concerns

Adityanath expressed concern about reports from some districts where antisocial elements might attempt to incite caste tensions. He directed officials to remain highly alert and prevent any such incidents from occurring.

With a heatwave affecting the state, the CM ordered immediate inspection of all ammunition depots and fireworks factories. This precautionary measure aims to eliminate any possibility of accidents and ensure strict compliance with all safety standards during the extreme weather conditions.

Petroleum Supply and Electricity Meter Issues

Reviewing petroleum product availability, Adityanath reassured the public that supply and distribution remain completely normal in Uttar Pradesh. He instructed officials to regularly inform citizens about this status and directed District Magistrates to hold regular meetings with petroleum company representatives.

"Effective control over black marketing and hoarding should be ensured in districts bordering Nepal," the CM emphasized.

Regarding complaints about smart electricity meters, Adityanath announced that an expert committee has been constituted to address public apprehensions. Until the committee's report is received, he ordered feeder-wise special camps to be organized for one week across all districts, enabling on-the-spot resolution of consumer complaints.
