Vijayawada: YSRCP leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy launched a sharp attack on chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, alleging that the state has witnessed “systematic misrule” over the past two years under the TDP-led coalition government. He claimed that the administration has failed to deliver on its promises and has instead resorted to what he described as deception and anti-people policies.
Women as victims of unfulfilled promises
Addressing the women leaders conference at the party office on Sunday, Sajjala said women were the biggest victims of the present government's policies and alleged they were misled by a series of unfulfilled promises. Drawing a comparison between the administrations of Chandrababu Naidu and former chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, he asserted that the previous YSRCP government gave priority to women's welfare and empowerment through various schemes and direct benefit programmes. He said the government failed to implement Adabidda Nidhi (Rs 1,500 per month) even two years after coming into power.
Jagan vs Naidu: Welfare versus publicity
While Jagan focused on welfare, transparency and direct support to vulnerable sections, the current administration, he alleged, has concentrated on publicity while neglecting the concerns of ordinary citizens. Sajjala further accused the coalition government of failing to address key public issues and questioned its performance during the past two years. He claimed that several assurances made during the election campaign had not been implemented and that people were becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the government's functioning.
YSRCP to expose government failures
Maintaining that YSRCP would continue to expose what he termed the failures of the present administration, Sajjala said the party would stand by the people and raise issues affecting various sections of society. He reiterated that the contrast between Chandrababu Naidu's rule and Jagan Mohan Reddy's tenure was becoming clearer with each passing day, particularly in matters relating to welfare and public trust. He urged the women leaders to take the message into power and make the party's protest programmes a success with huge participation of women.
MLC Varudu Kalyani echoes concerns
Speaking on the occasion, YSRCP MLC Varudu Kalyani alleged that women in the state were facing hardships due to what she described as the coalition government's failure to implement several promises made during the elections. She claimed that welfare measures benefiting women had slowed down under the present administration. She alleged that women had no safety after NDA coming into power in the state.
