Chiefs Linked to Stefon Diggs Amid Roster Concerns

The Kansas City Chiefs endured a brutal season after their Super Bowl LIX loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024. The major roster losses have sparked concern among fans as all eyes remain on the upcoming season. Amid the turmoil, the Chiefs have been linked to veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Chiefs Urged to Pursue Stefon Diggs

Recently, Mirror US Sports’ Charlie Wilson predicted that the Chiefs could bring in Stefon Diggs for the new season. Wilson noted that the Chiefs have not added another wide receiver since losing Marquis Hollywood Brown, making the position a weak spot. They rely heavily on Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy and could use a solid option alongside Travis Kelce.

Wilson added that Diggs would bring versatility to the wide receiver room as another slot option alongside Rice, potentially allowing the Chiefs to use different formations in the 2026 season. However, they would need to open up cap space to make a deal work.

The Chiefs have not officially commented on a potential deal with Diggs. Despite the New England Patriots’ loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX, Diggs was a force on the field.

Diggs’ Performance and Interest

After an injury-plagued 2024 season, Diggs finished the last season with 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and 4 touchdowns across 17 regular-season games. As multiple teams eye him, Diggs has expressed more interest in the Washington Commanders.

Appearing on 106.7 The Fan, Diggs said, “I’m familiar with the city and I’m familiar with the people. So, we gonna see down the pipe over these next couple of months. What looks good, what makes sense.” However, nothing has been confirmed as Diggs remains an unrestricted free agent.
