A recent post shared by Formula E's social media team highlighted the drivers who claimed their maiden Formula E victories at the Berlin E-Prix.
First winners at Berlin
Jerome d'Ambrosio, who is currently Ferrari's deputy team principal in Formula One and also heads the Ferrari Driver Academy, became the first-ever winner of the Berlin E-Prix in 2015. Racing for Dragon Racing, he secured his maiden Formula E victory at the Tempelhof Airport circuit.
Felix Rosenqvist was a rookie with Mahindra Racing when he claimed his first Formula E victory at the Berlin E-Prix in Season 3 in 2017. Berlin continued to prove a lucky venue for drivers, as reigning Formula E champion Oliver Rowland also secured his maiden victory at the Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit during Season 6 in 2020. It was during the Covid era, and Rowland, then driving for Nissan e.dams, celebrated the win while wearing a mask. During the same race week, Stoffel Vandoorne also registered his first Formula E victory while driving for the Mercedes-Benz EQ team. Rowland's current Nissan team-mate Norman Nato likewise claimed his maiden win at the same venue while racing for Ventur in Season 7.
Reacting to Formula E's Instagram post, one fan wrote for Muller: "It felt like this was going to happen this year... very happy for him; and just uncatchable."
