The 28th edition of the FMSCI National Racing Championship concluded with spectacular drama and emotion at Coimbatore's Kari Motor Speedway on Sunday, crowning several new champions across multiple racing categories after an intense weekend of competition.

LGB Formula 4 Championship Drama

Dhruvh Goswami from MSport achieved a remarkable double victory on Sunday to secure the championship title in the prestigious LGB Formula 4 category. The 18-year-old class 12 student from St Joseph's in Bengaluru entered the final Round 3 weekend trailing championship leader Diljith TS of Dark Don Racing but delivered an exceptional performance when it mattered most.

Goswami dominated the weekend by winning three out of the four races, showcasing his talent in India's longest-running single-seater championship. The highlight came during Sunday's 20-lap final race where he started seventh on the reverse grid, three positions behind former champion Diljith, who held a narrow 4-point championship advantage.

Displaying impressive racecraft, Goswami seized the lead early in the race, briefly lost it to teammate Ruhaan Alva, then regained control to finish dominantly. Reflecting on his championship battle with Diljith, Goswami stated, "It was going to be a long race, I knew I required to be patient."

In the rookie category of LGB Formula 4, Monith Kumaran Srinivasan representing Ahura Racing claimed the Rookie title.

International Flavor in FIA Formula 4 Indian Championship

The FIA-certified Formula 4 Indian Championship, running alongside the national championship as part of the Indian Racing Festival, witnessed international drivers making their mark. South African driver Luviwe Sambudla secured his first season victory in the opening race with a flawless pole-to-checkered flag performance.

The race saw intense competition for podium positions with Indian driver Ishaan Madesh of Kolkata Royal Tigers overtaking Saishiva Sankaran from Speed Demons Delhi in the final laps to claim third place behind his teammate Ghazi Motlekar from Mozambique.

In the second Formula 4 race, Kenyan driver Shane Chandaria converted his pole position into victory while Motlekar climbed impressively from fourth to second position. French driver Sachel Rotge of Kichcha's Kings Bengaluru, who had won on Saturday, completed the podium in third place after starting from the same grid position.

Other Championship Winners Emerge

Bengaluru rider Anish Shetty demonstrated championship form by winning the final race of the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup, presented by JK Tyre, despite having already secured the professional category title on Saturday. This victory marked his second championship in this category.

Pondicherry's Bryan Nicholas captured the Amateur class title in the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup, while Balaji Raju dominated the JK Tyre Levitas Cup by winning both races on Sunday to secure the Rookie crown in India's newest single-make racing series.

Coimbatore driver Jai Prashanth Venkat continued his dominant season by winning the Gentlemen category in the JK Tyre Levitas Cup. The JK Tyre Novice Cup, India's entry-level single-seater series, saw Pollachi's Lokithlingeash Ravi of DTS Racing claim the championship in a thrilling season finale that featured four drivers in contention for the title.
