Fifth Kisan Golf Cup Wraps Up Successfully in Jaipur with Enthusiastic Participation
The Fifth Kisan Golf Cup concluded on Sunday at the prestigious Rambagh Golf Club in Jaipur, marking a vibrant celebration of golfing talent across various age groups and skill levels. The two-day tournament, played in a stableford format, attracted approximately 250 participants, including men, women, and promising junior golfers, who competed with great zeal and sportsmanship.
Category Winners and Standout Performances
In the highly competitive best pro category, Abhyudaya Rawat emerged as the champion, showcasing exceptional skill with an impressive card of 68 points. Meanwhile, Kunal Singh (Junior) secured the best gross title, demonstrating precision and consistency with a score of 70 points.
The handicap categories saw fierce competition, with Hridayan Sarawagi triumphing in the 0 to 9 handicap division by scoring 39 points, closely followed by runner-up Rajkumar Nain with 36 points. In the 10 to 18 handicap category, Manish Kumawat (Junior) reigned supreme with 35 points, while Om Prakash Saraswat claimed the runner-up position with 34 points.
For the 19 to 24 handicap category, Alok Sharma Junior clinched victory with 39 points, and Gaurav Mathur earned the runner-up spot, also with 39 points. The Best Lady Golfer category was won by Shiksha Jain, who scored 31 points, with Shreeja Jain as runner-up at 30 points.
Veteran Categories and Special Awards
The veteran categories honored experienced golfers, with Satish Rajoria winning the 65 to 70 years division by scoring 36 points, and Dr. BM Raturi as runner-up with 35 points. In the above 71 years category, Dr. Raghavendra Chaudhary claimed the title with 13 points, alongside runner-up Kamal Bordhia, who also scored 13 points.
Additional special awards added excitement to the event. Atul Poddar won the straightest drive title, Vrinda Saini secured the near to pin award, and Anas Shamsi earned the longest drive title. A unique highlight was the prize bicycle, won by Dr. Sameer Sharma for successfully putting the ball into a basket placed at 170 yards on the 10th hole.
Prize Distribution and Acknowledgments
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including former sports minister, Padmashree and Arjuna Awardee Krishna Poonia, DEG Prahlad Krishnaiya, Rambagh Golf Club Captain Yogendra Singh Shekhawat, and honorary secretary Samridh Sharma, who presented trophies to the winners and runners-up.
