International Archery Coaching Seminar Commences in Jaipur with Expert Guidance
Jaipur is currently hosting a significant international-level archery coaching seminar, organized by the Archery Association of India in collaboration with the Rajasthan Archery Association. This six-day event, running from March 11 to 16, is designed to elevate the skills and knowledge of archery coaches from across the nation.
Inauguration and Key Addresses
The seminar was officially inaugurated at a hotel in Jaipur with a ceremonial lamp lighting by chief guest Dr. Neeraj K. Pawan, Chairman of the Rajasthan State Sports Council. In his address, Dr. Pawan emphasized the critical role of such technical seminars in enhancing the expertise of coaches. He highlighted that when coaches are well-versed in modern techniques and updated international regulations, it directly translates to improved performance by athletes on the global stage. Dr. Pawan congratulated the organizers and advocated for the periodic organization of similar seminars across all sports disciplines.
Organizational Insights and Participation
Gunjan Abrol, Administration Officer of the Archery Association of India, provided insights into the association's ongoing efforts to organize training programs that offer international-level information and training to Indian archers and coaches. Surendra Singh Gurjar, General Secretary of the Rajasthan Archery Association, noted that this marks the first time such a high-level coaching seminar is being held in Rajasthan, with selected coaches from various states participating. He expressed confidence that the program would equip coaches with detailed knowledge of new techniques and scientific training methodologies.
International Expertise and Training Focus
A major highlight of the seminar is the involvement of international coach Yusuf from Turkey, who serves as the Chairman of the World Archery Coaches Committee. Under his expert guidance, the 40 participating coaches are receiving specialized training in advanced recurve archery techniques, scientific training methods, and valuable insights related to international competitions. This direct exposure to global standards is expected to significantly enhance the coaches' capabilities.
State Representation and Future Prospects
Deependra Singh, President of the Rajasthan Archery Association, welcomed the trainers and reaffirmed Rajasthan's commitment to leading sports development initiatives. He stated that the state will continue to host national and international events to foster athletic growth. Notably, four leading archery coaches from Rajasthan are among the participants, benefiting from this advanced training. The organizing committee believes that such programs will positively impact the future performance of Indian archers by elevating coaching standards.
