Jaipur district emerged as the champion in both the boys and girls categories at the 45th Rajasthan Sub-Junior (U-17) State Shootingball Championship, held at Veena Bharti Senior Secondary School in Sursagar, Jodhpur. The tournament took place over three days, concluding with thrilling finals.
Inauguration and Dignitaries
The event was inaugurated on May 1 evening by Rajasthan Shootingball Association President Dayanand Upadhyay and General Secretary Dr. OP Machra. Other notable attendees included Technical Chairman Ajay Oberoi, Vice President Shakki Mohammad, Joint Secretary Altaf Hussain, Sunil Bainsla, Sangram Singh, Keshar Singh, RP Sherawat, and Devkinandan Sharma.
Match Schedule and Format
Matches were played daily from 7 am to 10 am and from 5 pm to 11 pm under floodlights at the school playground. The final matches took place after 10 pm.
Boys Category Results
In the boys final, Jaipur defeated Ganganagar with scores of 21-19 and 21-16 to claim the title. Ganganagar secured second place, while Bhilwara finished third. Jaipur's center player Khushal Sherawat and Ganganagar's player Ahsay delivered outstanding performances.
Girls Category Results
In the girls category, Jaipur triumphed over Ajmer with scores of 21-12 and 21-18. Bhilwara took third place. Kishna and Chanchal Jangir of Jaipur displayed strong gameplay. Tonk's emerging player Ayush was a center of attraction, and the Rajasthan Shooting Ball Association encouraged him with a prize.
Tournament Officials and Recognition
Sunil Bainsla served as tournament observer, Keshar Singh Balla as stage coordinator, RP Sherawat for document verification, and Sangram Singh for selection. The winning teams received cash prizes, trophies, medals, and mementos from President Dayanand Upadhyay and General Secretary Dr. OP Machra.
