State Sports Minister Arun Sao announced the details in Raipur on Tuesday, revealing that the competition will feature nine sporting disciplines. As of March 24, approximately 500 athletes have already arrived in the state, with more expected in the coming days. The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai in Raipur on Wednesday, and the closing ceremony is scheduled for April 3.
Sporting Disciplines and Medal Tally
The Khelo India Tribal Games 2026 includes a mix of competitive and demonstration sports. The competitive events are athletics, hockey, football, archery, wrestling, weightlifting, and swimming, while mallakhamb and kabaddi are featured as demonstration sports. A total of 106 gold medals are at stake across these disciplines.
