Nagpur Runners Secure Gold Medals in National Athletics Series

Nagpur-based athletes Sanyogita Misar and Aniket Nalawade have delivered outstanding performances, each winning a gold medal at separate legs of the Indian Athletics Series. This domestic competition, organized by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI), aims to enhance athlete rankings and scout emerging talent across multiple events held nationwide.

Sanyogita Misar Triumphs in New Delhi Hurdles Event

In the third series of the competition at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Saturday, Sanyogita Misar, representing the SB City Sports Club, claimed first place in the 100 metres hurdles for the U-20 girls' category. She achieved a winning time of 15.67 seconds to secure the gold medal. Additionally, in the women's 1,500 metres race, Bhavyashree Mahalle finished sixth with a timing of 4:51.85 minutes.

Aniket Nalawade Dominates Sprint Race in Ranchi

During the fourth series at Birsa Munda Stadium in Ranchi on Sunday, Aniket Nalawade, from the Local Sprinters and Rider Club, emerged victorious in the 100 metres race for the senior category. He clocked an impressive 10.60 seconds to win the gold. The race saw Jharkhand's Sadanand Kumar take second place with 10.85 seconds, while Safin Lakra finished third with 10.98 seconds. In the women's 100m event, Dhanashri Kamathe placed seventh with a time of 12.99 seconds, as confirmed by NDAA secretary Sharad Suryavanshi.

Training and Coaching Behind the Success
