Jaipur: Ayushi Bhandari, a sub-inspector in the Rajasthan Police, has earned a spot in the national senior women's volleyball camp following selection trials held last week in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The 20-member Indian probables will undergo a rigorous coaching camp in preparation for the CAVA Women's Championship 2026, scheduled to take place in Kathmandu, Nepal, from May 22 to 29. The final squad is expected to be announced within a few days, according to national selector Lavmeet Katariya, who shared the update on Sunday.

Selection Process and Camp Details

A total of 83 players participated in the selection trials conducted in Bhubaneswar. The trials were highly competitive, with athletes from across the country vying for a place in the national camp. Ayushi Bhandari, who hails from Himachal Pradesh, plays as an attacker and has been recognized for her skills on the court.
