The Los Angeles Rams recorded a strong performance last season, finishing second in the NFC West with 12 wins and 5 losses. Despite a brutal loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship, attention is now on the team's roster ahead of the new season.
Rams Emerge as Surprising Landing Spot for Stefon Diggs
A few hours ago, Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer predicted that the Los Angeles Rams could be an 'interesting' landing spot for former New England Patriots star wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Breer noted, 'I think Diggs will probably be somewhere in that one-year, $10 million range. The Chiefs could make sense.' He added, 'The Commanders might, too, since Diggs is from D.C. The Falcons and Rams would also be interesting landing spots.'
However, the Rams have stayed away from officially commenting on trade talks concerning Diggs.
Stefon Diggs' Performance and Injury History
The 32-year-old wide receiver recorded an impressive performance last season with the New England Patriots after an injury-plagued 2024 season. In 2024, while playing for the Houston Texans, Diggs suffered a brutal ACL tear in Week 8, ending his season. He played only 8 games, recording 47 receptions for 496 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Diggs bounced back strongly in the 2025 season, playing all 17 regular-season games and recording 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also added 14 catches for 110 yards and one touchdown in 4 postseason games. Diggs became the first Patriots receiver since Julian Edelman in 2019 to record at least 1,000 receiving yards in a single season.
Despite his on-field success, the Patriots released him in February 2026 as his personal life continues to dominate headlines due to several scandalous lawsuits filed against him.
