Biharsharif: Cadet Abhinav Raj, a Class VIII student from Sainik School Nalanda, has brought laurels to Bihar by securing the third position in the Central Zone at the national camp of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan, held at the Indian Institute of Technology-Gandhinagar.
Event Details
The two-day national camp was organised on May 17 and 18 by Vijnana Bharati in collaboration with the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and the National Council of Science Museums. The event aimed to promote a scientific temperament and competitive skills among students across the country.
School Representation
According to Brajesh Kumar, the media in charge of Sainik School Nalanda, two cadets from the school represented the Central Zone, which comprises Bihar and Jharkhand. Anurag Kumar participated in Class XI, while Abhinav Raj competed in Class VIII.
Achievement and Awards
Abhinav Raj secured third position in his category and was awarded a certificate of excellence, a trophy, and a cash prize. Additionally, he will receive the Bhaskaracharya Scholarship for the current academic session and an opportunity to visit some of the country's premier scientific laboratories.

School principal Col Bhupender Kumar congratulated the cadet and his parents on this remarkable achievement. He expressed happiness over the school's performance at the national-level event and praised the efforts of the students and staff.
