Three Killed in Madurai-Natham Flyover Collision

Madurai: Three young men were killed on the spot, and another sustained serious injuries when two two-wheelers collided head-on on the Madurai-Natham flyover near Tiruppalai at midnight on Friday.

Victims and Incident Details

According to police, Viswa, 21, Salman Khan, 21, and Vignesh, 20, all from Natham in Dindigul district, had reportedly traveled to Madurai on a two-wheeler to witness the Chithirai festival celebrations.

Police said the accident occurred when another two-wheeler coming from Madurai, ridden by Madesh, 26, from Otthakkadai, collided violently at considerable speed, throwing all four riders off the bikes.

Casualties and Medical Response

While Viswa, Salman Khan, and Madesh succumbed to injuries on the spot, Vignesh sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Govt Rajaji Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. The bodies of the three victims were sent for autopsy at Govt Rajaji Hospital.

Investigation

A case was registered by the traffic investigation wing, and further investigation is underway.
