Participant Experience
Ankit Panth, India's popular gaming professional and Red Bull Player, shared his experience at the Mumbai Organised App Run: "Wings for Life World Run is a great initiative. We all run for those who can't. It's not just a normal run but a whole experience where you have people dancing while running to the music, people cheering each other whenever someone stops or slows down there's a voice that comes from behind 'let's keep going, you can do it'. What surprised me was an aunty of my mom's age running consistently and enjoying herself. I even took a video with her and told her I will show this to my mom. I could see people on wheelchairs and the runners helping them. Everyone was having a good time. It wasn't a race but felt like a family of runners coming together for a part."
Global Stature
Adding to the global stature of the event was Colin Jackson, a two-time World Champion and Olympic silver medallist in the 110m hurdles, who serves as the International Sports Director for the Wings for Life World Run. More than a finish line, the event celebrated the power of humanity coming together one stride at a time for a world where spinal cord injuries can one day be cured.
