A tragic accident occurred in Patna on Wednesday when a 26-year-old man lost his life after his motorcycle collided with a road divider near Kurji Holy Family Hospital in the Patliputra police station area. The deceased has been identified as Rahees, a resident of Patliputra Colony.
Details of the Incident
According to eyewitnesses, Rahees was riding his bike at high speed towards Danapur while performing stunts. The motorcycle suddenly skidded and struck the divider, throwing the rider approximately five feet into the air before he landed on the road. The bike was flung in the opposite direction. Police rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Victim's Background
Rahees, who lived in a rented flat, was known as an avid bike stunt enthusiast. He ran a social media account under the username "the hell rider 26," where he shared videos of his stunts. His family arrived at the hospital after being informed of the accident.
Aftermath and Investigation
A large crowd gathered at the accident site, causing chaos for nearly 20 minutes. Traffic police cleared the area and restored normal movement. The damaged motorcycle has been seized by the police. Patliputra police have initiated an investigation into the incident. SHO Atulesh Kumar stated, "Preliminary findings point to speeding and loss of control as the main causes. Police are also examining CCTV footage from the area to reconstruct the sequence of events. The body has been sent to a government hospital for postmortem."
