Victory Over Vidarbha Showcases All-Round Excellence

In their latest match on Thursday, Chhattisgarh defeated Vidarbha by seven wickets, demonstrating a comprehensive team performance. After winning the toss and electing to field, the Chhattisgarh bowlers effectively restricted Vidarbha to 158 runs in 47.5 overs. The chase was completed in 47.3 overs with the loss of only three wickets, showcasing efficient batting. Mahek Narwase was named player of the match for her outstanding all-round contributions, which were pivotal in securing the win.

Key Wins Against Chandigarh and Uttarakhand

Earlier in the tournament, Chhattisgarh secured a 20-run victory over Chandigarh on February 10. Batting first, they posted a total of 182 for 9 in 50 overs. Despite a five-wicket haul by Chandigarh's Tarunika, Chhattisgarh's bowlers defended the total effectively, with Shreya Shrivas delivering a crucial five-wicket performance.

On February 8, Chhattisgarh edged out Uttarakhand in a thrilling last-over encounter, winning by four wickets. Uttarakhand set a target of 235 runs after scoring 234 for 9. In response, Chhattisgarh reached the target with just one ball to spare, thanks to a calculated unbeaten knock of 94 by captain Kriti Gupta and a vital 51-run contribution from Shilpa Sahu.

The team began their campaign on February 6 with a four-wicket victory over Rajasthan. Bowling first, Chhattisgarh dismissed Rajasthan for 197 runs in 50 overs.
