Fans quickly noticed the similarity between Kamboj and the security personnel standing near Vijay during the ceremony, sparking a wave of memes online. The jokes gained such popularity that Kamboj himself began receiving messages from friends and followers asking if he had secretly taken up security duty instead of playing cricket.
CSK later released a video showing Kamboj reacting to the viral pictures before eventually meeting his lookalike in person at the stadium.
