As the 2026 Commonwealth Games approach, scheduled from July 23 to August 2 in Glasgow, three Indian athletes have emerged as strong medal contenders based on their recent performances. Triple jumper Praveen Chithravel, boxer Preeti Pawar, and javelin thrower Rohit Yadav have all demonstrated the form and pedigree to challenge for podium finishes, according to a press release from the Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS).
Praveen Chithravel: Triple Jump Consistency
Praveen Chithravel, India's national record holder in triple jump, has steadily risen as one of Asia's top competitors in the discipline.
