Badani highlighted that the difference between success and failure in the IPL often comes down to small margins. He noted that Delhi Capitals lost several close matches that could have gone their way with better execution. “We had our chances, but we didn't grab them. The team was also plagued by injuries to key players throughout the season. Badani explained that the absence of certain players disrupted the balance of the squad. “Injuries are part of the game, but we had to constantly reshuffle the lineup, which affected our consistency,” he added.

We relied too much on our overseas stars, but we need to develop local talent as well,” he stated.
