Cricket Ireland has officially announced its central contract list for the 2026-27 season, marking a significant step in preparing for a packed cricketing calendar. A total of 48 players have secured contracts, comprising 25 men and 23 women, as the national teams gear up for international challenges.
Breakdown of Contracts Across Men's and Women's Teams
In the men's setup, 20 players have been awarded full-time contracts, while five have received retainer contracts. On the women's side, eight players have signed full-time deals, with 10 on education contracts and five on casual contracts. Notably, six players on education contracts will transition to full-time roles during the year, enhancing squad depth and availability.
New Faces and Notable Inclusions in Men's Contracts
Seven players have earned their maiden central contracts in the men's team, with five of them making their senior international debuts in 2025. These debutants include Ben Calitz, Jordan Neill, Tom Mayes, Tim Tector, and Cade Carmichael.
