A tragic road accident occurred on Tanot Road in Jaisalmer on Sunday, claiming the life of a 17-year-old and leaving four others seriously injured. The incident took place when a Swift car carrying devotees returning after the darshan of Tanot Mata collided with the rear of a tractor-trolley.
Details of the Crash
The collision happened on the Jaisalmer-Tanot route between Sonu and Parewar villages. The car hit the tractor-trolley traveling ahead. Witnesses reported that the impact was so severe that the car became lodged into the trolley, with its front portion extensively damaged.
Victims and Injuries
All occupants were residents of Nokha Mandi in Bikaner district. The deceased was identified as Surendra, 17. He was critically injured and taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon examination.
The injured include Bhagwanaram, 42; Yashoda, wife of Bhagwanaram, 38; Narendra, son of Bhagwanaram, 15; and Mohit, son of Manoj, 35. They were initially taken to Govt Jawahar Hospital for treatment, where doctors began immediate care. One woman, in a more critical condition, was referred to Jodhpur for advanced treatment, while the others remained under observation.
