Kanpur: Kailash Polymers XI outplayed Crick I-T Strikers in a super over in a pool league match of the third Deeba Naseem Khan Memorial U-14 cricket tournament being played at Kanpur South B ground on Friday.
Crick I-T Strikers, batting first, posted a total of 114 runs in 19.4 overs, and Kailash Polymers XI, in reply, also scored 114 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. As per the rules, the organizers moved to a super over to break the tie. In the super over, Kailash Polymers XI scored 11 runs in one over, while Crick I-T Strikers could only manage 6 runs and lost the match.

Four teams will participate in the sixth edition of the Raj Ratan women cricket league from June 13. According to Kaushal Kumar Singh, honorary secretary of KCA, matches will be played at BCA ground Ganga Barrage and VSSD College. The participating teams are Spark International, Dam Strikers, AVI Foundation, and Renu IVF. The inaugural match will be played between Renu IVF and AVI at VSSD College ground, while Dam Strikers will clash with Spark International at BCA ground.
