Mumbai's Chase Dominated by Key Partnerships

The Mumbai Indians faced an early challenge when both openers fell within the first five overs, leaving the team at 37 runs. However, Amanjot Kaur and captain Harmanpreet Kaur quickly stabilized the innings with a crucial 72-run partnership.

Amanjot Kaur contributed 40 runs from just 26 deliveries before her dismissal in the 13th over. Harmanpreet Kaur played a captain's knock, scoring 71 runs off 43 balls to anchor the chase.

Hayley Matthews claimed Kanika Ahuja's wicket in the 11th over, with Ahuja having scored 35 runs from 18 balls. This left Gujarat at 101 for four at the halfway stage of their innings.

Late Partnership Boosts Gujarat's Total

Georgia Wareham and Ayushi Soni provided stability during the middle overs, taking Gujarat to 130 for four after 15 overs. Soni, who made 11 runs from 14 balls, was retired out after the 16th over.

The final four overs saw an explosive partnership between Wareham and Bharti Fulmali. The duo added an unbeaten 56 runs, with Fulmali scoring 36 not out from just 15 deliveries. Wareham remained unbeaten on 43 runs from 33 balls.

Their late flourish helped Gujarat Giants post a competitive total of 192 for five in their allotted 20 overs. Despite this strong finish, Mumbai Indians chased down the target comfortably to register their victory.
