A premier military career training institute in Punjab has achieved a near-perfect success rate in the latest National Defence Academy (NDA) entrance examination. The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute in Chandigarh has seen 25 out of 30 of its cadets qualify for the final selection stage of the 157th NDA course.
Written Examination Success
The cadets successfully cleared the written examination for the 157th NDA course. They will now advance to the Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews, which serve as the final psychological and physical screening for entry into the elite academy. The SSB interviews are widely considered the most challenging part of the selection process, assessing candidates' leadership qualities, communication skills, and overall suitability for a career in the armed forces.
Institute Director's Remarks
The institute's director, Major General Ajay H Chauhan (retired), congratulated the group on their achievement. He noted that while clearing the written examination was a significant milestone, the "real test" lies ahead in the upcoming SSB interviews. The director emphasized the importance of thorough preparation and mental resilience for the next stage.
Upcoming Inductions
In addition to the current success, another 25 cadets from the institute are awaiting induction into various military courses beginning this June. This reflects the institute's ongoing commitment to preparing young candidates for careers in the defence services.
