Riteish Deshmukh's historical drama 'Raja Shivaji' has been receiving widespread praise since its release in cinemas. Initially, many were sceptical about Riteish Deshmukh portraying the iconic Maratha king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. However, his performance has left audiences impressed. The film, which focuses on the life of the Maratha king and founder of Swarajya, is set to complete a week in theatres.
'Raja Shivaji' Box Office Collection Day 6
The Riteish Deshmukh-directed film opened strongly, earning Rs 11.35 crore on its first day. On Day 2 and Day 3, the movie collected Rs 10.55 crore and Rs 12 crore, respectively, bringing the first weekend total to Rs 33.9 crore. According to a Sacnilk report, on Day 6, the Marathi version earned Rs 3 crore across 1,949 shows, while the Hindi edition collected Rs 1.25 crore across 3,670 shows. The combined Day 6 collection stood at Rs 4.25 crore.
This brings the total net collection of the film (Hindi and Marathi) to Rs 48.65 crore. The total gross collections have reached Rs 57.70 crore.

In addition to playing the titular role, Riteish Deshmukh has also written and directed the film. The movie features a stellar cast including Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Amole Gupte, Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree, Vidya Balan, Genelia Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi, Mustaq Sheikh, Ashokh Samarth, and Suresh Vishwakarma. Salman Khan makes a special appearance as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's guard, Jiva Mahala, during the battle of Pratapgad. The film was released in theatres on May 1, 2026.
