How will I be able to continue playing cricket?' I didn't have the money required, so I sold my jewellery to buy him the spikes he needed," she revealed.

The family's circumstances grew more challenging when Sakib's father, Ali Ahmed Hussain, a farmer, suffered a debilitating knee injury that prevented him from working. "After I became unwell, it was difficult to even manage one proper meal daily," Ali Ahmed remembered. Cricket transformed from indulgence to calculated gamble for the struggling family.
"He works exceptionally hard," his father explained. "That's why we decided to place our bets on him. It wasn't just hope but a carefully considered risk."
