Chennai: An 18-year-old engineering student lost his life in a tragic road accident during a motorcycle race on the Tambaram-Maduravoyal Bypass Road near Kovur on Friday night. Police confirmed that the victim sustained severe head injuries after losing control of the motorcycle.
Victim Identified
The deceased, Jai Harish, a resident of Kadapperi in Tambaram, was a second-year electronics and communication engineering student at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology in Sholinganallur. He was part of a group of seven friends who went on a motorcycle ride on Friday evening. Since his own bike was under repair, he borrowed a friend's high-powered motorcycle.
