The victim was identified as Guddu Kumar, a resident of Iniyar village within the same police station jurisdiction.

Victim's Background and Incident Details

Guddu Kumar was employed as a contract worker at the Barauni refinery and was on his way to work when the accident happened. According to his cousin Dharmendra, Guddu was riding pillion on a motorcycle when a truck coming from the same direction struck the two-wheeler. The impact caused Guddu to fall onto the road, where he was subsequently crushed under the vehicle's wheels.

The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the incident, leaving the victim behind. The motorcycle rider, whose identity has not been disclosed, survived the collision with injuries.

Local Protest and Demands

Following the accident, angry residents of the area staged a protest by blocking traffic on the highway for approximately one hour. They demanded adequate compensation for the victim's family and urged authorities to take strict action against the absconding driver.
