Venkatesh Prasad says discipline and hard work key to success
Venkatesh Prasad: Discipline, hard work key to success

Belagavi: Asserting that academic knowledge alone is insufficient for achieving success, Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) president and former Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad highlighted that interest, determination, discipline, hard work, and commitment are equally crucial to reaching one's goals. He was addressing the gathering as the chief guest at the World Environment Day programme organized by Satyatmatirtha Educational Institution at BK Model High School premises here on Saturday.

Reflections on School Days

Recalling his own school days, Prasad noted that his educational environment was modest, lacking high-end facilities. “We had small classrooms, blackboards, chalk pieces, and 45-50 students per classroom. Yet, the values of discipline, bonding, and teamwork that we learnt there have guided me throughout my life,” he said.

The former cricketer urged students to focus not only on academics but also on developing life skills and a strong work ethic. He emphasized that success in any field requires a combination of knowledge, perseverance, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
