Several major WWE names have now officially been linked with appearances during UFC’s upcoming Freedom 250 Fan Fest in Washington D.C., adding another layer to what is already being promoted as one of the biggest crossover weekends yet under the TKO banner. The event will take place during the same weekend as UFC Freedom 250, the unprecedented UFC card scheduled for June 14 on the South Lawn of the White House.
Event Background and Significance
The show has been positioned as part of the wider celebrations surrounding the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence, while the date also coincides with both Flag Day and the 80th birthday of US president Donald Trump. Although the card was initially expected to take place on July 4 to align directly with Independence Day celebrations, reports later indicated the event was shifted to June 14 because of logistical and security complications surrounding a large-scale sporting event at the White House during the July 4 festivities. Trump himself reportedly pushed strongly for the White House to host the UFC event.
WWE Names Revealed During Monday Night RAW
WWE names were finally revealed during Monday Night RAW after earlier uncertainty. While UFC had already announced plans for a two-day Fan Fest at The Ellipse in Washington D.C., WWE names were initially absent from the official promotional material released earlier this week. That changed during Monday Night RAW, when commentator Michael Cole officially confirmed several WWE stars scheduled to appear during the June 13–14 festivities, according to Ringside News.
The lineup currently includes:
- Charlotte Flair
- The Miz
- Trick Williams
- Chelsea Green
- The Usos
- Tiffany Stratton
- Bron Breakker
Cole promoted the crossover during RAW while discussing the growing relationship between WWE and UFC under TKO Group Holdings. However, reports have also stressed that official announcements are still ongoing and the full list of WWE appearances may not yet be finalised.
UFC Initially Announced Wrestler Involvement Without Specific Names
Earlier this week, UFC confirmed that WWE talent would be involved in meet-and-greet sessions throughout the Fan Fest weekend, although the company did not initially specify which wrestlers would attend. The Fan Fest itself will run across June 13 and June 14 at The Ellipse, the large public park situated directly outside the White House grounds. The event will include fan meet-and-greets, live Q&A sessions, ceremonial weigh-ins and special panels involving both UFC fighters and WWE personalities. A watch party for UFC Freedom 250 is also scheduled to take place during the weekend festivities.
According to UFC’s earlier announcement, more than 24 UFC fighters are expected to participate in Fan Fest appearances across both days. Country music star Zac Brown is also scheduled to perform during the weekend and will reportedly sing the national anthem as part of the White House event coverage. Tickets for the Fan Fest are being distributed through a random draw system despite the event itself being officially free to attend.
WWE’s Growing Presence Reflects TKO’s Connected Structure
Although WWE itself is not directly involved in the actual UFC Freedom 250 fight card, the company’s growing presence around the weekend has not come as a major surprise because of the increasingly visible overlap between UFC and WWE since the formation of TKO Group Holdings. WWE chief content officer Triple H has made several White House appearances over the last year and has reportedly worked alongside both Trump and US Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. through the Council of Sports, Fitness and Nutrition. Several WWE stars, including Cody Rhodes, also attended a military rally hosted by Trump last year.
UFC Freedom 250 Fight Card
The actual UFC Freedom 250 card is meanwhile continuing to grow into one of the most heavily discussed combat sports events in recent memory. The current lineup includes:
- Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje for the UFC Lightweight Championship
- Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane for the UFC Heavyweight Championship
- Sean O’Malley vs. Aiemann Zahabi
- Josh Hokit vs. Derrick Lewis
- Mauricio Ruffy vs. Michael Chandler
- Bo Nickal vs. Kyle Daukaus
- Diego Lopes vs. Steve Garcia
With WWE stars now officially involved in parts of the weekend schedule, UFC Freedom 250 is being framed as one of the biggest and most historic crossover events ever, blending combat sports, politics and entertainment at the White House for the first time.
