Jaipur: Zinc Football Academy, Udaipur secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Royal FC on the second day of the inaugural Rajasthan Senior Women's Football League, organized by the Rajasthan Football Association (RFA) at the Rajasthan United Football Club Ground here on Thursday.
In the only match played on Thursday, Zinc dominated proceedings and broke the deadlock in the 64th minute when Mona (jersey number 22) found the back of the net. Savita (jersey number 19) sealed the win with a goal in injury time (90+4 minute). Mona was deservedly awarded the Player of the Match for her stellar performance.
RFA secretary Dilip Singh Shekhawat emphasized the significance of the league, stating that it is the first women's football league organized by the association. He added that the RFA is continuously working to promote football in the state, and this league aims to boost women's participation in the sport.
The competition features teams from five professional clubs across Rajasthan: Zinc Football Academy (Udaipur), Jaipur City Football Club (Jaipur), Royal Football Club (Jaipur), Magan Singh Rajvi Football Academy (Bikaner), and Real Jaipur Football Club (Jaipur).
Bhairauratan Ojha served as the match commissioner, while Javed, Pawan, Asif, and Nandani officiated as umpires.
